The Australian White is a self-replacing, haired sheep with a quiet temperament, high eating quality and low maintenance requirements. They build a thick coat during the winter and their hair becomes much finer during the summer months post shedding.
The breed reaches mature size early in life creating a more efficient animal.
Breed goals include the continual focus on eating quality by increasing Omega 3 fatty acids, lower fat melting points, and increase internal marbling to enhance the health benefits, flavor, and tenderness of the final product.
